Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, businesses and organisations have to indentify the presence of asbestos as well as manage it safely. Doing nothing is not an option and can result in severe health risks, significant clean-up costs and prosecution. RSK STATS Environment, Health & Safety is one of the UK’s largest independent asbestos management consultancies, offering a comprehensive service to help you manage Britain’s biggest occupation killer.

If you are in control of a building, you have a duty to manage asbestos. This includes identifying the location and condition of asbestos-containing materials, determining the risks that these materials present, and preparing and implementing a plan to manage the risks.

RSK STATS Environment Health & Safety's services include:

Surveys

United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited to conduct Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 asbestos surveys. Our surveyors have vast experience of working on a wide variety of sites.

Sampling and analysis

UKAS accredited to both sample and analyse materials suspected of containing asbestos.

Preparation of policies and procedures

Vast experience in designing stand-alone asbestos management systems. We can also complement or enhance existing management systems.

Project management of asbestos removal works

Full service spanning tender preparation and review, contractor interviews, site inspection and monitoring works and post-works completion reports. STATS is UKAS accredited for airborne fibre monitoring, fibre counting and 4-stage clearance testing.

Auditing

Due diligence, legal compliance and system compliance audits.

Training

We provide a range of asbestos awareness and asbestos management courses, for example:

  • We are one of just three UK companies providing British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS)-endorsed asbestos management awareness training.
  • We are an approved British Institute of Occupational Health (BIOH) training course provider for P401 and P402 training.

Our tutors combine industry expertise with a flair for engaging and passionate teaching to deliver jargon-free and memorable educational experiences. Training courses can be tailored to your individual needs and conducted either publicly or in-house.
